Tο περί Κατωτάτου Ορίου Μισθών (Τροποποιητικό) Διάταγμα του 2023 (Σε Ισχύ απο 1η Ιανουαρίου 2024) The Minimum Wage (Amendment) Order 2023 comes into effect on the 1st of January 2024 and sets the national minimum wage.

Το περί Κατωτάτου Ορίου Μισθών (Τροποποιητικό) Διάταγμα του 2023 τίθεται σε ισχύ από την 1η Ιανουαρίου 2024 και καθορίζει τον εθνικό κατώτατο μισθό. Με βάση τις πρόνοιες του Διατάγματος, κάθε εργοδοτούμενος ο οποίος/ η οποία εργάζεται με πλήρη απασχόληση πρέπει να λαμβάνει αρχικό μηνιαίο μισθό ο οποίος να ανέρχεται τουλάχιστον στα €900 ακαθάριστα και μετά από 6μηνη συνεχή περίοδο απασχόλησης στον ίδιο εργοδότη, ο μισθός αυτός να αυξάνεται τουλάχιστον στα €1000 ακαθάριστα.

Οι διατάξεις του εν λόγω Διατάγματος δεν εφαρμόζονται στους οικιακούς εργαζόμενους, στους εργάτες γεωργοκτηνοτροφίας και στους εργαζόμενους στη ναυτιλία, καθώς και για εργαζόμενους για τους οποίους εφαρμόζεται το περί Κατωτάτων Μισθών στη Ξενοδοχειακή Βιομηχανία Διάταγμα του 2023.

Based on the provisions of the Decree of 2023, starting from 01 January 2024 every employee who works full-time must receive an initial monthly salary of at least €900 gross and after a 6-month continuous period of employment with the same employer, this salary must increase at least at €1000 gross.

The provisions of this Degree do not apply to domestic workers, agricultural and livestock workers and shipping workers, as well as to workers to whom the Minimum Wages in the Hotel Industry Degree of 2023 applies.

Neoklis is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and holds a Master’s in Finance and Investments from the University of Exeter.
